The Equal Opportunity Plan was created under Law 7 / 2007 of Equal Opportunities between Women and Men and Gender Violence in the Region of Murcia and the Fourth Strategic Plan for Equal Opportunities in the Region of Murcia Government autonomy.
These plans Bascuñana said, "are an extremely important tool in guiding the activities of public authorities in the field of equal opportunities as establish guidelines for intervention aimed at achieving the goals and objectives regarding equality. "
In developing the Plan Archena I was taken into account before diagnosing the current situation of the municipality, according to indicators such as demographics, employment, education, immigration and gender violence.
As a result of this study, the first Plan for Equal Opportunities Archena is set among its goals, employment, training and reconciling work and family life, health, quality of life and social welfare, social participation , co-education, culture and sport, and finally the gender-based violence.
Currently, municipalities in the Region have already Equality Plan are those of Cieza, Mula, Abanilla, Alguazas, Bullas, Cehegín, Jumilla, Fortuna, Lorqui Molina, Murcia, Puerto Lumbreras, Santomera, Torre Pacheco Totana.
