The project to bury all garbage containers municipality has initiated construction of the first island to be installed and is in the Plaza of Spain, one of the main historical place and where the town hall.
It will be placed underground three containers of organic waste and two waste.
This is the first of these underground spaces to hide underground waste deposits to be held shortly in the whole town.
The municipal charge of Public Works and Services, José Pedro Martínez, said that "with these early works, the City Council has launched a campaign to get all the historic to have these underground, because that will eliminate the odor problems in street, dirt, use of space in the road that would provide for other matters, and give more aesthetic to all these places and therefore the general population. "
In principle, once you complete the works of the Plaza of Spain, these underground containers shall contain all kinds of waste from the areas closest to Main Street and San Juan Llamas, the most central of the old town.
Today, in the town of Archena there are 230 waste collection points, some are 3 containers and other up even five different.
This is a figure close to one thousand containers to collect garbage that exist all over the municipality.
