The X Regional Youth Participation Fair 'Youth Zone 2009', held since last Friday until today at the fairgrounds Archena, was visited by over 25,000 people.
The fair was organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, through the Institute of Youth in the Region of Murcia, in collaboration with the Youth Council of the Region of Murcia, the City of Archena and Caja Mediterráneo.
At this meeting the 130 youth organizations present at the show developed over 350 cultural activities and leisure.
The director of the Institute for Youth, Veronica Lopez, noted that "ten years of Youth Zone is the clearest reflection of the vitality of youth, of his interest in the partnership and participation in society and culture of the Region Murcia. "
Among the participating organizations were represented, among others, cultural organizations, social, political, union, student, artistic, and environmental cooperation.
The schedule of activities included a live radio broadcast, parades, concerts, theater, exhibitions, 'jam sesions' and samples of paint and dance.
Likewise, cross-cultural activities were conducted, on disability, juggling, film, cultural workshops, literature, scavenger hunts, hip hop and graffiti.
The Regional Youth Participation Fair has become since its launch a national benchmark.
Since its inception in 2000, more than 400 associations, organizations and youth groups have organized some 3,000 activities in the framework of this meeting.
In 2006, 'Youth Zone' began performing in a traveling by different municipalities of the Region of Murcia.
So far it has developed in the city of Murcia (2000 to 2005), Cartagena (2006), Molina de Segura (2007), Lorca (2008) and Archena (2009).
