The president of the Community, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, today inaugurated the X Regional Youth Participation Fair 'Youth Zone 2009', to be held at the fairgrounds Archena, and that during the next three days becomes a meeting point " essential "for partnership and exchange of ideas of the young.
Valcárcel, accompanied by the mayor of Archena, Marcos Manuel Sanchez and the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Pedro Alberto Cruz, toured the fair, which this year features over 100 booths of youth organizations with information and activities all young people.
The fair will gather until next Sunday for a total of 130 youth organizations in the Region of Murcia to develop more than 350 cultural activities and leisure, organized by the participating groups themselves.
Youth Zone has become, as stated by the president in one of the most important youth events in Spain, so it encouraged young people in the region to maintain this spirit of partnership and participation in all events have been organized both in this meeting as those conducted in schools 'Youth Space' of the Community.
Through the Youth Zone, which are represented various cultural organizations, social, political, union, student, artistic, and environmental cooperation, as explained by the regional president, the fun can be made compatible with the exchange of projects and initiatives, While the youth aware of "the importance of the voluntary movement."
This year we are doing in the 'Youth Zone' different activities like live radio, parades, concerts, theater, exhibitions, 'jam sessions', painting, dance, intercultural activities, disability, juggling, film, cultural workshops, literature , scavenger hunts, hip hop and graffiti, among others.
'Youth Zone' is organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, through the Institute for Youth, in collaboration with the Youth Council of the Region of Murcia and Caja Mediterráneo.
Specifically, for the fair this year has a budget of 154,000 euros, of which the CajaMediterráneo provides 54,000 euros, and the remaining 100,000 euros, the Institute for Youth, while the local Consistory provide technical support.
