Archena was awarded the top rating from the National Association of Villas Springs section of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities of Provinces, in the degree of implementation of quality standards in cities and towns with baths.
Archena has achieved 94.73 percent of the scores of the remaining populations belonging to this department of the FEMP, which are attached more than 60 villas in all Spanish regions.
The town of Archena is therefore considered as the city that offers all tourist services with superb quality, above Alhama de Almeria, which obtained 85.75 percent, or Arnedillo, which gets 90.37 percent or Lanjarón, who won 90.26 percent.
Before taking this decision, the National Association of Villas Thermal organized three information sessions and technical Archena, May 14, in O Carballino (Ourense) on 19 May and in Caldes d'Estrac (Barcelona) on 26 May .
