"This will mean the loss of all the jobs in the short term"

The decision by the Instituto Murciano Social Affairs (IMAS) to not renew the show that once established in the residence "Azahar Archena" will mean that a total of over fifty people, some of them in a precarious state health, are obliged to forcible transfer which will cause a serious condition for themselves and their families, change of usual environment both physical and social and emotional changes of caregivers, changing habits, etc.

The PSOE Archena complaint is against this irrational and insensitive decision by the Popular Party's political class, not having weighed the consequences of non-renewal of the agreed deadline.

Also, the decision has been moved to relatives in the middle of August, by telegram with just a few days before the occurrence of forced relocation of their elders.

With this measure the "closing" of the Residence "Archena Azahar" is imminent, which will soon occur beyond a few months.

This will also involve the dismissal of more than eighty workers who currently do their work at the center.

Today the Estate "Archena Azahar", although privately-entered, has been doing social work not covered by social services in our municipality and autonomous region, also has a Center of Day concert with the City of Archena.

Its demise will mean a decline in the welfare and social Archena not covered by the government, remain the responsibility of local and regional governing Popular Party have provided and covered.

Archena Socialist Party, under Plan E, funded entirely by the Government of Spain, proposed at the time the construction of a residence of character and public management, a proposal rejected by the Mayor and his team Archena Party Government Popular.

This decision, taken by the Councillor of Social Affairs Ms Trinidad Gómez Medina, may be due to economic interests in the Residence "Azahar Archena" doomed to immediate closure.
