Alba Lopez, Mario and Maria Joaquina Sánchez Verdú ran away with the first prizes of Children, Youth and Adults, respectively in the National Painting Competition V Inocencio Medina Vera on 13 June, within the Festival of Corpus.
The competition were presented painters in different Spanish regions and was painting during the day a topic related to Archena anywhere in the county with the painting technique that each author wished.
The painters were divided by gardens, corners and main square of the town and took the first prize 800, 200 and 100 euros in the categories adults, youth and children, respectively.
The second and third prize of adults were also 500 and 300 euros each and accounted Arnaldos Jose Luna and Jose Antonio Gomez Medina.
Before the awards ceremony, held just after 20.00 hours at the Cultural Center and was filled with visitors and participants and attended by Councillors of Culture and Tourism Festival and Local Development, in the courtyards of Miguel Medina Fair Day held almost a thousand people could eat their favorite cap to a very affordable price and with the accompaniment of free beer.
While eating and drinking at noon, in the same place, a demonstration of skill with the saw to cut wood, she made up some professional figures with an art and a knowledge of the matter beyond doubt.
