The 22 projects submitted by the City of Archena so they can be executed with the investments of State Investment Fund have been tendered in full by the last municipal governing boards, so now any company can submit its technical proposal to run any of those projected.

To this end, the State Investment Fund has provided 3,121,011 euros and is expected according to the dates, the earliest work can begin during the first days of March.

As for the projects to be implemented with local funds and in some cases with the help of the Autonomous Region have also approved their respective bids in the last municipal governing boards, nearly 40 percent of the 22 planned and announced publicly.

So some of them begin their first works in the short term.

Among the major works to be funded by the State Investment Fund, are remodeling the old school in Rio Segura to transform it into a Centre for Music Education, access to the Polideportivo de La Fuensanta, the retaining wall and fencing to protect The Municipal Nursery School Colorines and removal of architectural barriers in several ways, as well as construction of several gardens in different districts.

For its part, the projects to be financed by municipal funds Archena and are already in the public offering process include the main building of the Civic Center of The Other Lao, works for the construction of the Center rehearsals and performances, as well as the construction of the Municipal Nursery School of The Algaida, and various gardens and parks in various districts of the municipality.

Archena Mayor, Manuel Marcos Sánchez Cervantes, publicly announced last days the contents of the Plan of Works to improve and provide more services to the municipality in 2009 and consists of the sum of 47 projects, whose completion will cost 17.5 million euros.

Nearly 11 million will be financed by the City Council, in some cases with the help of the Autonomous Community, just over 3 billion euros by the State Investment Fund, and the rest by other administrations.
