The government delegate in Murcia, Rafael González Tovar, has co-chaired this morning the Local Security Board Archena, with Mayor Manuel Marcos Sánchez.
At the same we have analyzed different aspects of public safety in the municipality and the increase in troop strength of Guardia Civil.
In the course of the meeting, the delegate of the Government has increased the effectiveness of the Civil Guard in the last year, which has resulted in a 17 percent increase in the number of crimes solved and by 113 percent of arrests, which in his opinion "is good news for the town, since the data point to greater success in the efforts made by the Security Forces to ensure security."
González Tovar has reiterated its confidence in the role of the local board as a body to improve the coordination of the actions of the National Police and Guardia Civil with the local police of the municipalities in our region.
"It is an effective tool by which I will resolutely continue to bet," he said.
With regard to the provision of the Civil Guard in Archena, the delegate of the Government appreciates the efforts of the Government of Spain to increase troop.
Today the headquarters has 16 agents, 23 percent more than in 2004.
Local Investment Fund Archena
In the subsequent meeting held with the mayor, the delegate of the Government has addressed various issues related to the State Investment Fund to the Local Level, which will Archena 3,121,011 euros for the execution of works and buildings to carry along 2009 and deliver a maximum in the first quarter of 2010.

Other contributions from the Government of Spain
Moreover, the government delegate in Murcia has reported that in 2009 the Government of Spain go through the Inter-territorial Compensation Fund, 2,772,000 euros to infrastructure improvements and social policy in Archena.
Specifically, 488,000 euros financed the rehabilitation of the pavement of the MU-533 and Southwest Collector Archena spillway.
It is also planning to spend 288,000 euros to care for dependents in Residence Azahar and to the concert with the City for the Day Care program.
Also, the Cohesion Fund investments amounting to spend € 2 million to incorporate tertiary treatment at the WWTP Archena.
These are all cases of investments made with state and European funds that are included in the draft budgets of the Autonomous Region for 2009.
