Jaime Garcia was yesterday named Best Athlete of Archena 2007-08 and Best Team of the City was for the CB Archena Spa, a member of the LEB Bronze League.
Trophies were presented at the spa during the VI Archena Sports Gala, attended by about 150 people, including relatives of the winners and other athletes Archena and the rest of the region.
The evening was chaired by the Mayor of Archena, Manuel Marcos Sánchez Cervantes, Director of Sports, Antonio Peñalver, and Councilman Archena Ayut sports, Jesus Anselmo García.
Acted as a sponsor of the gala popular athlete in the region, Juan Manuel Molina.
They also collected trophies the II National Tennis Open Archena, Best Acontecimiemto Archena Sports, Best Sports Promotion corresponded to Club Deportivo Eutyches and a special mention for his contribution to sports Archena Fontes went to Joaquin Lopez, current president of Basketball Club Archena.
Jaime Garcia, Sportsman of the town of Archena was Regional Champion Taekwondo Gold Medal at the International Opens Seixas B and A Lisbon, both from Portugal.
Also won the Silver Medal in the International Open of Toulouse in France and a member of Murcia Taekwondo Team, among many other trophies.
As for CB Archena Spa has been a champion of the Copa Leb I Bronze 2008 and a finalist for promotion to Leb Plata.
For its part, the second National Tennis Open Archena Oasis participated players in Spain, some of the popularity of Joaquín Muñoz and Ivan Ezquerdo.
