The President of the Autonomous Community, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, today inaugurated the new school Archena Segura River, home to 270 elementary and primary students, and complete, together with the expansion of Secondary School Vicente Medina, and nursery schools, new educational infrastructure network of the municipality for students from zero to sixteen.

The center building was built on a parcel of school equipment for a total of 5,798 meters square is divided into three blocks and have the best facilities tailored to the needs of elementary and primary students.

The center has a first and second block with a gym, kitchen, dining room and storage area, and three classrooms with toilets built-child classes, and a common space area with games for children.

Also in the main building are administrative offices, library and multipurpose room, in addition, six elementary school classrooms and three classrooms for multiple uses.

The total budget for this center, built by Ferrovial-Agroman, has been of 1,569,375 euros.

Extension of IES Vicente Medina

With the start of the school year opened, equally, the new building to expand the Institute Vicente Medina in the town, with which you get to concentrate all students studying secondary education in the municipality of Archena, which has meant they have the best common facilities available to IES.

On the first floor are 18 classrooms for technology, computer, audiovisual, music, teachers and books.

The new building has meant a budget of 1,986,084 euros.

Now, Miguel Medina school students may use the old facilities left by the students of IES, which is improving the distribution of all local school.
