Archena became throughout the capital Saturday in regional painting (02/06/2008)

Some 80 artists from many parts of the Region and other towns of Valencia and Castilla-La Mancha, as well Archena participated this past weekend at the IV Painting Competition "Inocencio Medina Vera."

The main streets and corners of the population were filled all day on Saturday of professional painters to make important and classic prints Archena historical sights.

Over 2,500 euros were distributed among 10 awards in children's category accounting for three, the same as in youth and adults up to four first prizes.

The final awards were:

CHILDREN'S CATEGORY

1 - Garrido Gonzalo Garrido (5 years, Archena)

2 - Yaiza Mateo Perez (6 years, Archena)

3 - M Âª Carmen Hurtado Mengual (6 years, Archena)

YOUTH CATEGORY

1 - Mario Verdú Pay (10 years, Archena)

2 - Fco Javier Moreno Gallar (14 years, Hellin)

3 - Irene Guillen Alcolea (7 years, Archena)

ADULT CATEGORY

1 - Cristobal Pérez García (Molina de Segura)

2 - Maria Joaquina Sánchez M (Cieza)
