The Director General of Planning, Architecture and Housing, Nuria Fuentes, along with the mayor of Murcia, Patricia Fernandez, today held a meeting with citizens in the set of 51 public housing, rented, which will subject of a comprehensive rehabilitation.
The work, which will have a budget of 473,473 euros, will focus on improving water supply and sanitation networks, waterproofing and roofing and improve accessibility of housing, which are located on the street Francisco Quevedo and Espronceda.
The building is duplex, two floors and two, three and four bedrooms, located on a plot of 2,706 square meters, with a construction area of ​​4,385 square meters.
The Director General stressed "the work of the Community to provide the best services and facilities to the buildings that make up the public housing stock by developing a series of works and maintenance and intervention."
In this regard, he specified that this year the Ministry of Public Works will invest 2.45 million euros for the rehabilitation of 477 public housing in nine municipalities in the region (Abarán, Sewer, Archena, Blanca, Ceuta, Cieza, Lorquí, Molina de Segura and Villanueva del Río Segura), which will go under the Housing Plan 2013-2016.
"It's about improving the quality of life of tenants, by adapting the buildings, their integration into the urban fabric and the renewal of the image of this group of houses," said the CEO.
