Mayor Patricia Fernandez, together with the Councillor for Public Safety, Andres Rodriguez, and the Town Planning and Public Works, Andrés Luna, have signed an agreement with the local police for which it was created, among others, the police service Tutor, District Police and Environmental Police.
As explained by the head of the local police of the municipality, Jose Velasco, the aim of this agreement is to obtain better working conditions for the police force and improve the service the police provides the municipality of Murcia, as this how the different functions performed by the police are better defined.
The role of Tutor Police consist assigned to each school that will focus on treating absenteeism and bullying agents.
The District Police is responsible for a certain area of ​​the municipality with such specific problems, the objective of this role is to ensure a permanent presence of the law in these areas.
Environment Police will be responsible for compliance with the ordinances of Environment and management of abandoned vehicles on public roads.
On the other hand it has also created the role of Police Work, Markets, which will control all these comply with current regulations, and finally, it has also been the role of Administrative Police, which will handle all administrative matters of the local police.
The total workforce, amounting to 30 officers, has been assigned to such services, which take effect from the 1st of May.
