The importance that is acquiring daily health tourism, has revealed this afternoon at the opening of the Second National Conference on Health Tourism with the participation of hundreds of people from different spas in Spain.
In presenting this conference have spoken the Mayor of Murcia, Patricia Fernández, Miguel Lloret, director of Spa, Miguel Mirones, president of the National Association of Spas, the Minister of Tourism, Juan Carlos Ruiz, and Secretary of State for Tourism Isabel María Borrego.
The conference will last until tomorrow, Friday, day 28, with presentations as thermal medicine in the thermal health system;
analysis, research and prescription of Europeans and techniques and complementary therapies to traditional medicine of the future models, among others.
Dr. Pedro Guillen will participate morning with a conference on sport and health, after which a work table is made to explain that eight million Spaniards suffer from rheumatic diseases and only 300,000 benefit from the thermal treatments.
The papers shall be performed by experts in medical hydrology, teachers of the department of Medical Hydrology, Complutense de Madrid and Professor of Medical Hydrology at the University of La Coruña and other professionals Archena Spa, as Luis Shepherd, José Luis García Madrid and other teachers of the UCAM, experts in physical therapy, anthropology, pharmacy and applied physics.
In the presentation this afternoon have been passed three basic ideas: first, the importance of collaboration between public and private companies in tourism.
The second important aspect has been to highlight the achievements since last year when the first national conference was conducted in the same place and finally revealed the importance of health tourism in the future, so that both Autonomous Region, City, State Secretariat companies are committed to improvement and innovation and development of this type of tourism.
