The Councillor for Tourism, Nicolas Fulgencio Garcia and Juan Angel Martinez, director of the Office of Marketing of Murciaturistica, presented the new RuMapps application, the app that allow you to discover the rural areas of the Region of Murcia, in front of fifty restaurateurs, agents tourism and industry professionals at the Museum of Archena.
The presentation was cago the coordinator of the app, Fernando López Sánchez, and said RuMapps is a cooperation project between the four local action groups in the region and brings together the 31 rural municipalities of Murcia.
Its purpose also said, generating a tourist application for phones and tablets, Android, iOS and Windows Phone devices.
The project was funded by the Ministry of Agriculture and Water of the Autonomous Community within the Leader.
At this event, organized by the Local Development Agency of the City of Murcia, López Sánchez explained that RuMapps aims to focus on the different resources of the participating municipalities, both among the population and the visitors can find information about monuments, local products, active tourism, local festivals, thematic routes, among others.
This application also allows the creation of custom routes, to rediscover the routes of other visitors or to comment on the resources found.
