The Directorate General of Public Health, Ministry of Health and Social Affairs in collaboration with the Spanish Association Against Cancer, the Health Center and the City of Murcia put in place the Programme for Prevention of Breast Cancer.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women, especially in women aged between 50 and 69 years, so the City of Murcia is working with the program to prevent this disease, and for that the best prevention is early diagnosis.
The objective of this program is prevention awareness among women and with the collaboration of all of them get to minimize the number of women affected.
This program, launched for the ninth time in Murcia.
is to perform a mammogram every two years for women aged 50 to 69, with which to diagnose, if any, cancer treatment and put.
All women living in the city between 50 and 69 years will receive a letter of appointment with the day and exact time to take the corresponding mammogram.
Finally, note that this campaign will be held in the town of Archena from day 17 to 21 February 2014.
