Archeneros athletes traveled to Madrid last Saturday to participate in the Sports Council Trophy.
The tests were held in the indoor and outdoor track module of the CSD.
On the women's side, the archenera athlete and pupil Florencio Martínez, Elena Ruiz Pay, participated in his first competition as a youth athlete, achieving 2nd place in the shot put with a better attempt at 12.17 with Ball 3Kg., Representing a new regional juvenile record.
Meanwhile, the other archenera athlete, also trained by Florencio Martinez, Maria del Mar López-Navarro Morillo, was 3rd in the triple jump with 11.95, getting the minimum age for Promise National Championship and only behind two international athletes Patricia Sarrapio and Andrea Calleja.
To say that Maria del Mar in a previous competition held in Murcia, equaled the absolute regional high jump record that she sported with a jump of 1.75 cm.
