The image of the Virgen Milagrosa soon get the Gold Medal of the Villa for his 70th anniversary since his enthronement in the parish of San Juan de Murcia, as he has said the Mayor of Murcia, Patricia Fernandez, the president and the secretary of the association that manages, José Palazón and Andrew Borja, respectively.
Starting today starts the legal and bureaucratic process to produce this award, which could take place during the month of November, when we celebrate the feast of the Virgin.
The realization of the image of La Milagrosa was commissioned by two people archeneras, Milagros Rosa Trigueros and Ricarda Sanchez Ordonez, very devoted to this title and as a fulfillment of the promise of living out of his imprisonment during the years of the Spanish Civil War.
In 1943 the famous sculptor González Moreno gave them the image and that same year donated to the Parish of San Juan for lacking this picture because they were destroyed during the civil war of the thirties.
The image was placed in the chapel of the high altar of the parish until 1987, where he relocated permanently in a side altar.
The directors of the Association of the Miraculous claim that the formation of this group was formalized in 1949 and today is still the Virgin venerated by the general population.
