Matthew Gines has been unanimously elected coordinator of IU-Greens in Murcia at a meeting held by the political party which was attended by members and supporters, and is replacing Lola Murcia.
Matthew, known in the village as "Guancho", has a degree in Philosophy and Ecclesiastical Studies and member associations Friends of El Alto Bolivia and Philosophy for Children.
He has worked on development cooperation projects and in defense of human rights in Spain and Latin America, and is a member of the Immigration Platform Molina de Segura.
Archena IU-Greens noted that the target set is the strengthening and consolidation of the organization, and invites groups and individuals who want to work for the regeneration of the "battered" democracy, restore dignity to politics as a means to get the good common rights and recover "hijacked today by a government more concerned about saving banks people."
