The Mayor of Murcia, Patricia Fernandez, and Councillors of the City of Archena inaugurated this morning the monument to commemorate the 550th Anniversary of the Founding of Archena.
This act was also attended by representatives of local associations and groups, council workers and professionals in the art and theater of the town.
Also attended Colonel Military Residence Archena, Francisco Javier Barrios.
The monument is a monolith which are reflected Archena Mayors from 1900 until today and it was discovered in the opening ceremony of the program of events of that historical anniversaries, a few months ago, and since this morning has been installed in the Spain Square (the side of the municipal building of the Casa Grande).
In addition, the act also took the opportunity to also inaugurate the latest remodeling that has been done to that post.
Painted and carved with motifs that reflect the celebration of the 550th anniversary.
