The beginning portion campaign with a contribution of more than 2,200 kilos of food from different Brotherhoods and Cabildo itself Guilds Higher Archena.
It will take place between 26 November and 14 December.
The Cabildo, in past dates agreed to undertake a campaign to collect food for the first of nonperishable need (oil, rice, milk, pasta, sugar, canned food, etc..) To help alleviate precarious plight of many of families in this town.
This initiative began in 2009 with the name "Solidarity Pantry" and this year the theme is verse 35 of chapter 25 of the Gospel of St. Matthew "For I was hungry and you gave me food."
In principle this Pantry Solidarity already has guaranteed a minimum of food, as each Guild is committed to provide the amount of € 200, with which the Investigation Board Caridad del Cabildo held the purchase of various foods.
It also aims to involve local Colleges, Religious, cultural, political, etc..
It must be said that this season can also bring warm clothes (blankets, sheets, etc..).
It is very important to note that everything collected will be delivered to Caritas Archena, where you deal with to get that food to the most needy of the people, and always under a rigorous census of potential beneficiaries of the aid.
To proceed with the collection of food the Cabildo Archena Guilds Higher established dates between 26 November and 14 December, these dates where the council headquarters, which is located on the Segura River along Avd Municipal Museum, will be open from Monday to Friday from 18:30 to 20:00 hours.
Under the slogan "For I was hungry and you gave me food", the Cabildo Guilds Higher Archena wants to encourage participation in this initiative, thus setting an example of generosity and solidarity with our neighbors these days are passing situations of serious hardship , especially aggravated by the economic crisis which we live.
