About 200 people, mainly women, workers of the City Council and representatives of other groups and associations, have focused this morning at 12.00 am at the doors of City Hall in the Plaza of Spain to protest against gender violence.
This is the first of the acts that the Department of Equality Archena City Council has organized to celebrate the November 25, International Day Against Gender Violence.
This afternoon there will be a film forum for the same cause.
The Mayor Patricia Fernandez, which accompanied the councilors of the government team, in reading his manifesto, reminded the women murdered by their partners in Spain so far this year, amounting to 43 people.
Among other arguments, Fernandez also referred to respect for women starts in childhood with a good education, which encourages the woman is not an object and not owned by anyone.
Finally saved by all the protesters a minute of silence.
