The Mayor of Murcia, Patricia Fernandez, has been incorporated into the National Executive Hot Springs Villas section of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, during the X Meeting of spa towns of Spain, held days in the population Arnedillo, in La Rioja.
The Mayor was accompanied by the councilors responsible for Presidency and Health, Mario Alcaraz and Fulgencio Garcia, respectively.
The main objective of this meeting was the promotion of hydrotherapy as an alternative healthy leisure and tourism 20 municipalities participated from ten regional governments with the resources of mineral and thermal waters, since the event was to promote the development and promotion of spa towns as tourist destinations unique health and welfare, create jobs and economic development.
The meeting lasted four days and include more issues of interest took place the presentation of delegations and international associations and spas, as in previous years, was celebrated the Assembly of the Section of Municipalities with Mineral and Thermal Waters of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), whose main objectives are to defend the interests of the local partners and promotion and comprehensive utilization of mineral water as a differentiator and economic engine of the municipalities.
