The Department of Agriculture gave a talk last night on 'treatments in advance of flowering fruit', attended by over 300 people, mostly farmers, who packed the auditorium of the Cultural Center of Archena.
The conference is pronounced Jose Egea and David Ruiz, Technical Center of Applied Biology Pedology and Segura (CEBAS), and was chaired by Councillor for Agriculture, Francisco Perez.
Attendees were briefed on current products on the market to treat the full range of fruit, as well as grants and subsidies available and where to go in case you need to apply.
Meanwhile, the incumbent Municipal Agriculture reported the campaign at local and regional levels is being done to defend the use of regional and archeneros among consumers in the region and in schools.
He also explained about the creation of a monitoring committee, promoted by the Autonomous Community of Murcia, from Brussels to demands for greater customs control on prices and quality of products imported from third countries.
