Some 1,200 people attended last night at the opening gala of the Event schedule for the Commemoration of the 550th Anniversary of the founding of Archena as municipal entity.

Attended by among others, the President of the Regional Assembly of Murcia, Francisco Celdran, the Secretary of State for Trade, Jaime Garcia Legaz, deputies Murcia and CEOs of the region and several mayors of the area as well as the vast majority of representatives of groups and associations in the municipality.

The event ended with the interpretation of the official anthem of Archena.

This is the first of about a hundred acts of all kinds will be held until September 2013 to celebrate the 550th birthday of the City of Archena.
