A course at the University of Mar-Campus Mare Nostrum show the properties of water as a therapeutic agent, delving into the use made of the thermal waters in the different periods of history and in the newest treatments performed in this field .
The Region of Murcia is a leader in balneotherapy area thanks to its long tradition in this field, due to the existence in them of important medicinal mineral water springs, among which those of Murcia, Alhama Fortuna.
Doctors, historians, geologists, geographers and specialists will Hydrotherapy speakers of this course, which will run between 10 and 13 September in Alhama de Murcia and led by Luis Shepherd, medical director Archena Spa; Gonzalo Matilla, Professor of Ancient History at the University of Murcia and Jose Banos, director of the Center for Archaeological Los Baños Alhama de Murcia.
The inaugural conference will focus on "Water in general and application techniques of thermal treatments", and will be borne by Luis Ovejero.
The activity has a duration of 25 hours, and students are entitled to free credits 2'5 or 1 ECT-CRAU
