Archena Occupational Center will be launched this coming September, so that members can use the same for this year 2012/2013, concluded the Mayor of Murcia, Patricia Fernandez, who along with Director General of IMAS (Institut Social Action Murciano), Fernando Mateo, this afternoon visited the works of the center, which is located in the neighborhood of another Lao, near the Bridge of The Deck.

There is a forecast of users who will use it to 35 people, said one of the drafters of the project, Gil archenero Campuzano.

The plot which has a built area of ​​5,000 square meters, explained the architect, "the center is in a privileged environment, both urban links, has very good connections (with the people and the outside), for being surrounded by nature, which will allow users to enjoy great views, light and fresh air. There are no large buildings nearby. The building comprises a set of spaces in a single plant interconnected to plan and develop each one of them, activities that contribute to improving adaptive skills and personal and social development of people with intellectual disabilities. These spaces give the service center that aims to provide each user with working experience as close as possible to a regular workplace basis to their training staff. "

Gil Campuzano concluded by stating that "overall, with this construction is intended to provide Archena disabled people to socialize new environments outside the normal framework of the family, but framed its rural surroundings. With the construction of this first phase will be achieved improve the quality of life of users through education and training ".

Subsequently, other future phases will be without center Centre and Library.
