The Government Delegate in Murcia, Joaquin Bascuñana, presided this morning the Local Security Board, as a special guest to discuss various issues related to public safety in the municipality and provide such security reinforcements to the upcoming festivities Corpus.
The said local board consists of the Mayor, Patricia Fernandez, who usually presides over the Security Council Member, Andres Rodriguez, the head of the local police in Murcia, Emilio Argüeso responsible for the Civil Guard Corps in Murcia, and other technical staff of the Autonomous Region and the City Council.
The main subject matter was the request made at the time by Patricia Fernandez to strengthen public security in the coming Patron of Corpus Christi and Our Lady of Health in June, due to the accumulation of public and visitors uncommon these days, what Bascuñana noted these needs to carry out those dates.
Addition, the Mayor has expressed deep joy and satisfaction at the news of his own Government Delegation that the number of offenses are kept in the same figures as last year, including some types decreased.
"This is very important for all people, because now we can feel safe to say that Archena is a quiet town."
Following the meeting of the Local Security Board, the two leaders, government delegate and Mayor, visited the barracks of the Guardia Civil in Murcia to verify in situ the urgent needs and infrastructure arrangements that have this state agency in the population.
