All pupils in Years 5 and 6 of the seven primary schools in the municipality have participated in a drawing competition organized by the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, on the occasion of the celebration, on March 15 , World Consumer Day.
This morning, the Mayor of Murcia, Patricia Fernandez, and the Councillor of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Manuela Moreno, have given the respective certificates and gifts to the top ten.
The gifts were sponsored by 10 local businesses.
The first three awards were for students Elena Guillen Garcia, the school 'The Ope', which was ranked the first and the second has been to Maria Molina Alcolea of ​​'Emilio Candel', and the third was for Palazón Elena Hernandez of 'Michelle Sanz'.
The contest was to draw the nearest location or student's family, along with a brief written description of it.
So the first prize was the 'Bakery Guillamón', the second drew 'Gateway' and the third was led 'Bar Mari-Ricky'.
These businesses also contributed to the gifts to the winners, along with seven other local establishments, as they have been Rincon de Maria, Agarcán SL, Nurya, The Super Julia Cherry Fashion, Candido and Opencel.
The first three awards, also took a certain amount of money for school supplies.
The program of events for the consumer to Day celebration began last month with informative talks on each of the classrooms of the above courses on consumer rights and duties.
