The program of events for all groups of Moors and Christians Archena have held this weekend to mark the Mid-Year Festive began on Friday night with the opening of the medieval market, installed in the plaza on May 1 and remained open until Sunday afternoon.
It was the first municipal authority, Patricia Fernandez, in charge of firing the first blunderbuss (as is customary in such acts in parties of Moors and Christians) to the time of opening of the market.
Later, festive, Mayor and City Council members toured each of the paragraphs of this special market.
Saturday was the day Midyear cultural Festive, Festive with the appointment of the Year, which this year went to the president of the Christian retinue of Don Roy Mendoza, José Antonio Cutillas, and the discovery of the poster for the holidays 2012, painted by Victor Rosique this year.
On Sunday, third day of the Mid-Year Festive, components of the 4 Kabila blackberries and two Christian mesnadas morning held a festive parade through San Juan and Avenida del Carril and after several turns to the medieval market, ended in Film Summer, where about 300 revelers that make up these associations and cultural festival held a living meal.
