The Mayor of Murcia, Patricia Fernandez, has imposed the Golden Shield of the City of Archena which until very recently was the Colonel Director of Military Residence Murcia, Mariano Hermosilla, on the occasion of his retirement as the main charge of this institution.
The event was conducted within a short but moving military celebration at the offices of the military residence, this afternoon, where were also decorated other professionals, both military and civilian employees of the residence.
Attended major religious leaders, military council of the municipality and the government team and responsible for the military region of the Levant.
The Golden Shield Award Colonel Archena Hermosilla was approved at the last Municipal Government Board, held days ago, in recognition of the work done as Director of Military Residence Murcia, one of the oldest hospitals in Spain and located near the Balneario de Archena.
The Mayor in the same act has been also welcomed the new Director of Residence Colonel Francisco Javier Barrios, who will take care of it in the coming years.
