Nearly a thousand people accompanied the patron saint of Murcia, the Virgen de la Salud, from his hermitage sanctuary in Archena spa to the parish church of San Juan Bautista to preside over the eight days, which in his honor this week is putting until next Sunday.
The patron, in addition to members of local fraternities, was accompanied throughout the tour by the Mayor of Murcia, Patricia Fernandez, who headed the procession, and much of the government team.
Once in the parish church, a Mass was celebrated Huertanica, cooficiada by the Vicar of the Diocese of Cartagena-Murcia, Juan Tudela, and the owner of San Juan Bautista, Alfonso Albuquerque.
Each of the masses taking place these days will be devoted to each of the districts of the town.
