The regional government has authorized a total of EUR 2,502,035 for the redevelopment of the Bridge on the River Segura in Archena and construction of a footbridge.
Through this project will expand the current passing vehicles on the river, over 170 meters, allowing the simultaneous circulation of vehicles in both directions.
In addition, building two-foot sidewalks separated from the roadway by curbs stainless steel.
The construction is completed with illuminated guardrails and a new lighting system throughout the area.
This action also allows for the current steel bridge access to the population, to be moved a few meters, for the construction of a footbridge, equipped with ramps for disabled people and for illumination.
These works will improve access to Archena of traffic from the motorway A-30 (Cartagena-Albacete) through the RM-554 and the crossing of the town (T-554).
