The City Council of Guilds Archena Superior at its meeting on Monday 15 November, elected people a year will bear the honors of Town Crier of the Nazarene Holy Week and the Year 2011.

The distinction Pregonero Archena Easter 2011 has fallen this year, total unanimity of the 11 Brotherhoods that make up the Superior City Council of Guilds, in the person of D.

José García Gómez, archenero, and current President of the Association of Food Enterprises of Murcia, Alicante and Albacete (Group them) and also President of the National Technology Center and Canned Food.

For its part, the distinction of the Nazarene of the Year has been awarded for the first time this year posthumously to D.

Santiago Lorente Brox, who died a few months ago being then Vice-President of the Brotherhood of Christ of the Great Power (just felt unwell as he prepared to participate in the procession on Good Friday evening last year).

Holy Week is Archena Regional Tourist Interest, with 11 much Brotherhoods, one of the cultural and religious events most important and most public place attracts not only Archena but throughout the Valley of Ricote and Vega Media del Segura.
