The extraordinary plenary session of the City Council unanimously adopted Archena three municipal groups and the People's Party proposal to the Ministry of Interior requesting the declaration of a disaster area for the municipality of Archena "in order to open a line of grants or aid to fill the gaps occurring because of the strong storm on 13 August last, "according to the main text of the motion.
Moreover, this same bill passed, specifies that the City of Archena also ask the Autonomous Community of Murcia, through the Ministry of the Presidency, his collaboration with the Ministry of Interior for the purpose mentioned above, if the declaration of a disaster area is approved.
On August 13 a large amount of water accompanied by heavy hail dumped on almost all the town archenero, causing considerable damage to housing and many areas of gardening.
This problem has meant that many of those families affected owners now have to face economic problems for their damaged property arrangements, is what has been called for this urgent aid to the various administrations.
