The Community signed today a tax collaboration agreement with the Community of Regantes Acequia de Archena with the aim of optimizing its management and collection.
The Minister of Finance and Public Administration, Andrés Carrillo, signed today with the president of the Community of Irrigators, Juan José Rojo, the agreement by which the Tax Agency of the Region of Murcia (ATRM) assumes the collection in executive period of their income from public law.
The head of the Treasury highlighted the "strong will of the regional government to support the communities of irrigators and farmers, making available the material, human and financial means to improve their management and tax collection."
The agreement establishes that the Tax Agency of the Region of Murcia offers to the community of irrigators its Virtual Office, "in which the users will benefit from the telematic management services, which supposes a saving of costs and specialized technical personnel to its service, "said Carrillo.
The Community of Regantes Acequia de Archena currently has 2,300 farmers and covers seven locations: Archena, Ulea, Ceutí, Lorquí, Alguazas, Villanueva and Molina.
With this are already 63 agreements signed between the Community and different entities in the field of tax management, among which are 15 other communities of irrigators, in addition to 31 municipalities, four associations of municipalities, nine entities of the public sector of the Autonomous Community and three state agencies.
Specifically, in the case of the municipalities that delegate the management of their taxes, the agreement allows signatory entities to receive a monthly advance of 90 percent of the collection of their main taxes, thereby obtaining liquidity to provide their services.
During 2018, thanks to this mechanism, the Tax Agency will anticipate more than 68 million euros.
In addition, the regional administration performs comprehensive management of taxes in the field of management, inspection and collection.
On the other hand, it makes it easier for users to establish a personalized plan that allows payments to be postponed for up to 12 months without interest.
The Tax Agency of the Region of Murcia, which depends on the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration, in addition to its main function of managing the taxes assigned to the Autonomous Community, was also occupied last year, through these agreements, to process receipts and settlements for a total amount of 130.96 million euros, with a voluntary period of 101.52 million euros.
