Taking into account the latest data published by the SEF (Regional Training and Employment Service) of the Region of Murcia, the number of unemployed as of March 31, 2018 in Archena was 1,221 (in February it stood at 1,320), which It represents a decrease in unemployment of 7.5%, compared to the previous month.
With these data, the unemployment rate of our locality stands at 14%, well below the national unemployment rate, which is 16.55% and regional, which stands at 17.2%.
These data clearly show that the projects and initiatives launched by the City of Archena are returning to bear fruit, and a further decline is predicted in the coming months.
The Mayor of Archena, Patricia Fernández López, after knowing the data, said that "employment continues to be our main concern.
Hence, these figures offer us satisfaction and support for the efforts we are making and are, according to these figures, in a positive way, and therefore will continue working to encourage business activity in the municipality with discounts and grants that favor a employment growth and, consequently, a decrease in local unemployment ".
The Mayor has once again stressed that "Archena will continue to bet on innovation and new technologies to generate wealth and be a focus of attraction for investors and entrepreneurs who bet on our municipality as the seat of their business."
