The V race 'Ope Trail' 2018, organized by the school El Ope de Archena, also known popularly as "the Rise to the OPE", in collaboration with the municipality of Archena and the Athletics Federation of the Region of Murcia, will be held on next March 11 and will have a single route and two tests, of 7 and 14 kilometers.
This edition has the novelty of the incorporation of a new hiking test.
It will have a mixed layout with a small urban stretch and the rest of the dirt road.
The start and finish will take place at the school gate, pass through the Vereda del Río, cross the Balneario and finally climb the hill of El Ope (the most emblematic mountain of Archena).
The popular race for children will also take place that same day at noon.
It will have five tests, being competitive only the juvenile and infant categories.
Attending the presentation of this event, Pascual Herrera, head of the school, Patricia Fernández, mayor of Archena, and Juanma Molina, president of the Murcian Athletics Federation.
The first municipal authority highlighted in his speech the relevance of this Ope Trail race for its regional projection of the event and its 5 continued editions, "a sign of success and good work of the center in the organization".
