The Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, Adela Martínez-Cachá, visited the Emilio Candel School of Archena today to check the status of the work being done in the center to cover its sports track, an action that involves an investment of 90,000 euros .
Martinez-Cachá stressed that "this work will benefit 244 students who are enrolled in the school," and noted that "from the Government we are determined to improve infrastructure in the region to continue promoting educational quality."
The counselor noted that "this action is also part of another of our priorities, which is to expand the shadow areas of schools to combat high temperatures and protect students from the rain."
The roof that is being installed on the Emilio Candel school track is rectangular and covers an area of ​​836 square meters.
The projected building consists of a gable roof without enclosure and a single floor with a height of 7 meters.
The works are scheduled to be completed by the end of February.
Investment of 20 million euros
The Ministry invests this year around 20 million euros in infrastructure in the educational centers of the Region, with large projects among which the improvement work at the Alfonso X Institute in Murcia, which is also currently being implemented, stands out .
On the other hand, throughout this course will begin the construction of a new school in Jumilla and a new Institute of Secondary Education in Alhama de Murcia;
as well as extensions in the Ben Arabí de Cartagena institute, the Juan de la Cierva school in Casillas (Murcia), the expansion of the Ceip Juan Navarro de la Hoya (Lorca) and the construction of a new pavilion for early childhood education at the Pascual Martínez school Abellán de Pliego.
