The Mayor of Archena, Patricia Fernandez, and the presidents of the Regional Triathlon Federation, Diego Calvo, and Archena, Daniel Palazón, presented this morning in the Ayatollah of Archena the III Regional Duathlon Team Championship, which will be held on next Saturday through the streets and squares of the urban area.
There are 80 registered teams that will participate in this edition, 20 more than last year, which brings to 500 the athletes who will meet in Archena next Saturday.
In this III edition will collaborate 100 volunteers who together with the Local Police ambulances, Civil Protection, the technical team of the Department of Sports of the City will make this championship possible.
The inauguration will be at 12.30 to start the test punctually at 13.00 and finish at 19.00.
Both the regional president and the local have agreed to thank the City Council for their interest and effort in carrying out this test, as well as the sponsors, without whom, they said, it would be impossible to launch this championship.
The test will consist of a first sector of 5 kilometers that will run through the river, then a segment of 20 kilometers by bicycle, to finish with a third segment of 2.5 kilometers on foot.
