The Mayor of Archena, Patricia Fernandez, the Secretary of the Ministry of Family and Equality, Manuel Marcos Sanchez, and practically all Councilors of the Municipal Government Team inaugurated yesterday night the Municipal Bethlehem, this year, with the important novelty of its installation , inside a gigantic tent located in the courtyards of the old Miguel Mediina school.
After the usual ribbon cutting and the blessing of the parish priest of San Juan Bautista, Alfonso Alburquerque, about 300 people, who filled the tent in their entirety, set out for the official visit by the authorities and the general public.
The event was enlivened by the rondalla and choirs of the Social Center for the Elderly of Archena.
This edition also presents another important incorporation, within the facilities of this municipal crib and is the Children's Christmas Corner.
It is a space enabled for the little ones of the family, where they can enjoy inflatables, workshops, shows and surprises visits of animated characters.
El Nacimiento occupies about 100 square meters, with many figures (almost 500) of the traditional Murcian style, many of which are articulated and moving, and several emblematic buildings of Archena, such as the Castle of Don Mario, the Chapel of the Balneario de Archena and the bridge.
This municipal nativity scene has been recreated and installed during these days, one more edition, by users of the Day Center for Disabled People, a score, helped by their monitors.
