The Mayor of Archena, Patricia Fernández, Employment, University and Enterprise Counselor, Juan Hernández, and the Director of INCYDE, Javier Collado, inaugurated this morning the building that houses the Archena Business Center.
Located in the Pago del Barranco area, on Felipe II street.
It is a polyhedric property of polygonal plant, with a total area of ​​346 square meters and is formed by the following spaces: zone of coworking, for 16 positions;
two offices for four companies, meeting room, office with microwave, coffee maker and refrigerator, conference room, reception and common space for storage and other services.
The business incubator is mainly aimed at young entrepreneurs, especially aimed at providing support, services and advice to these young people of the municipality who wish to start a business activity and thus enable them to benefit from a work space at low cost and with all the necessary services to start your activity.
In addition, from these areas of the nursery, young people can enjoy a collaborative environment in which to exchange ideas and experiences with other entrepreneurs.
The final objective of this initiative, in the opinion of the first municipal councilor, Patricia Fernandez, "is to reduce the unemployment rate. Currently the unemployment rate in Archena stands at 14.5 percent, well below the regional and even national average ".
INFO, as coordinator of the Regional Network of Nurseries and promoter of local development, will offer assistance and advice to determine the most suitable services to boost industrial activity in the locality and guide new businesses, such as prototype design, promotion of companies or assistance in the processes of innovation or technological development.
This new infrastructure will house a total of 20 companies linked primarily to innovative activities.
The Mayor has also said that "the main objective of this initiative is to foster entrepreneurial culture in our municipality, promoting new business initiatives for the development and improvement of own employability."
The creation of the Nursery Business has finally cost 425,000 euros, 80% of which are provided by the FEDER Funds, through the INCYDE Foundation, and the rest have been invested by the Archer's Consistory.
The City Council has also ceded the plot, in addition to the aforementioned economic contribution.
