The Ministry of Presidency and Development has invested 358,861 euros in the comprehensive rehabilitation of 51 public housing in Archena, which has improved the supply and sanitation facilities and renovating the carpentry of homes to increase their energy efficiency.
Laura Sandoval, the mayor of Archena, Patricia Fernández, visited today the homes located in the hamlet of La Algaida and noted that "the works have improved the quality of life of the 200 people who inhabit them. "
These actions are part of the area of renovation and urban regeneration 'ARRU Vega del Segura', within the Housing Plan 2013-2016, which allows the financing of rehabilitation works for public housing, under lease, in municipalities Abarán, Alcantarilla, Archena, Blanca, Ceutí, Lorquí, Molina de Segura and Villanueva del Río Segura.
Laura Sandoval recalled that the houses were built in 1986, are duplex, two, three and four bedrooms, with a constructed area that ranges between 70 and 98 square meters.
They are located on a plot of 2,706 square meters, with a constructed area of 4,385 square meters.
The works, which began last April, consisted of the construction of a new horizontal sanitation network for each dwelling, the replacement of all storm drainage channels and downspouts, as well as the installation of a new network of plumbing.
The closure of the houses was also improved, which presented problems of tightness.
