The illegal convocation of the Referendum on 1 October in Catalonia, which seeks the secession of the Spanish State has been a problem between Spanish and Catalan society that can only be solved through dialogue and understanding, but never by other means.
The demonstrations of nationalism that can be carried out both on one side and the other these days will not lead to the achievement of a common agreement, beyond a mere show of feeling of belonging to the state by raising a flag.
For this reason, the institutional positions of the PSOE Archena will refrain from participating in the initiative promoted by the government team of the Archena City Council, since, even supposing that it prevents the organization of the referendum of secession of Catalonia, declared unconstitutional by the resolution of Constitutional Court, number 4332/2007, dated September 8, 2017, is understood to be carried out outside the agreement between the different political parties at the national level by which those initiatives arising from the municipal level are requested to be withdrawn.
An example is the withdrawal of the initiative of the PP in the Regional Assembly on this issue at the request of the Socialist Parliamentary Group.
At the same time, the PSOE of Archena wants to urge all representatives of Catalan society and the whole of Spanish citizens to open a space for dialogue to seek a legal solution and to push national political formations to reach agreements to banish the division and strengthen the general coexistence in our country.
