The president of the Community, Fernando López Miras, held a working meeting with the mayor of Archena, Patricia Fernandez, who informed the president of more than a dozen improvement projects that he considers necessary for the municipality in areas as diverse as education, sports, health or infrastructure, among others.
In health matters, the president undertook to undertake, in this same legislature, the expansion of the existing health center in La Algaida, a hamlet that is growing and currently has almost 3,000 inhabitants.
In this same hamlet, but in the sports field, the president also transferred to the mayor the support of the regional government for the construction of a new field of artificial grass for the practice of football.
Among the projects that are underway is the construction of a new bridge over the Segura River, in parallel to the current one, for the direction of circulation of entrance to the municipality from the highway A-30.
The works are going to be tendered soon.
This splitting of the bridge will solve the bottleneck in the main entrance of the municipality.
During the meeting, held at the Palacio de San Esteban, the president also learned firsthand about the needs of education, as well as other matters related to infrastructure, the extension of the industrial estate or the improvement of access to the Spa, between others.
