One of the most famous acts of the popular festivals of the archerous hamlet of La Algaida is the Azulete festival, which has taken place in the spot of the Dead River.
Very bluish day for all this archenera population, as for more than 60 years.
Hundreds of algaideros and algaideras are stained blue all over the body without protest, with festive, cheerful and lively air.
It is a game that tries to paint in blue, taken from the old cleaning product 'azulete', which you find next to you, but that is, without being painted.
A large number of young people traveled throughout the Canal de la Rio de Muerto (for some years now it has been celebrated in this place, outside the urban area) by spraying and painting every person who was in their path, despite of the physical endurance of some.
This year neither the Party Queens nor the mayor-pedáneo have been spared from being painted.
