The Local Police of Archena is intensifying, in the last days, the vigilance in the municipality so that all the citizens who have pets collect their excrement of the public spaces.
The Mayor of Archena, Patricia Fernandez, has stated that "it is the obligation of citizens to collect the excrement of their pets when they take them out for a walk, and in this way to help keep our people clean."
The awareness campaign launched some months ago, with 15,000 brochures and more than a thousand large posters distributed in schools and public buildings, as well as dissemination in the main municipal media (website, social networks , Municipal newspaper, etc.), is still active and for this reason, the Local Police of our town will ensure that the obligations of citizens to collect the excrement of their pets continue to be respected.
As reported by the Sergeant-Head of the Local Police of Archena, José Velasco, many people have already been punished and have failed to comply with these obligations and suggest to citizens to denounce any uncivil behavior, since it favors keeping our municipality cleaner.
