The Minister of Family and Equal Opportunities, Violante Tomás, met today with the mayor of Archena, Patricia Fernandez, to analyze the provision of Social Services Primary Care of the municipality, whose subsidy the Community will increase by up to 23 percent.

Violante Tomás recalled that "attention to the groups deserving special protection is a priority of the regional government" and specified that the budgets of the Community provide an endowment of more than 130,000 euros for this municipality, which increases by more than 24,000 euros the 106,000 euros granted last year in the same concept.

The Primary Care Social Services are the first level of attention of the system and are of public responsibility.

"It is a question of ensuring the attention, promotion and insertion of people who present social needs as important as absences of vital minima, situations of dependency or processes of social exclusion, for which a very important budgetary injection is destined", Said the counselor.

The aid to local entities and associations of municipalities to finance the Primary Care social services centers in the Region will have 10.8 million euros this year, an increase of 7.2 percent over last year .

More social workers

In Archena, the head of Family and Equal Opportunities also referred to the new Basic Income Insertion (RBI) decree and the improvements it will bring to citizens and local entities.

"Last July 1 came into force the new decree, and among the improvements it brings is the increase in the minimum amount of aid, from 300 euros per month to 426 euros, when it is for a single person, While the maximum per family will be 798 euros per month, currently stands at 682 euros, "he recalled.

It is a regulation that will extend both the amount of the vital minimum and the period of coverage, which will reach up to 24 months if the beneficiary is in an itinerary of insertion and needs to continue receiving such help.

In addition, social insertion itineraries will be put in place so that all those RBI recipients who can join the labor market have their accompaniment and training itinerary to get a job.

To this end, the Ministry of Family and Equal Opportunities will finance with more than 500,000 euros, in an open line that can be expanded later, the recruitment of 20 new social workers to collaborate in the implementation of these work itineraries.

"The citizens of Archena who receive the Basic Income will also benefit from these itineraries and the improvements planned for Municipal Social Services. This budgetary effort is necessary because the best social policy we can offer to families in the Region is A job, "explained Violante Tomás.
