Archena also joined the minute of silence summoned by the Federation of Municipalities and Provinces in demonstration of mourning for the attack last night in Manchester and as a sign of repulsion from the municipality of Archena to violence of any kind.

The event was chaired by the Mayor of Archena, Patricia Fernandez, and after the rally, the congregation have concluded with very emotional applause.

The flags that wave in the Consistorial building will also remain at half-mast from this midday to May 25, as a testimony of the Spanish nation's pain at this criminal attack.
